This "matinee" length necklace is 21 inches long, inclusive of the hammered sterling silver clasp. Knotted on nylon thread, the components are glossed polymer clay beads (which range in size from about 12 to 22 mm), and wooden disks, while between each bead and disk is a sliver of pen shell heishe.
The polymer clay beads were inspired by the dream sequence in Kurosawa's "Kagemusha".

The earrings are 2 inches and 3 inches long, including the sterling silver ear wires. I have framed the polymer clay beads in a sterling silver wire wrap. Dangling from the longer of the earrings is a free-moving "paddle" which provides the illusion of movement you see in the picture.
